Jesus brings his followers into the body of Christ, a group of people called apart form the world.
Following Jesus's example of spiritual development.
Jesus had a unique approach to saving the world. It began with himself, as a faithful follower of the Father's will. Through his sacrifice on the cross, Jesus paid the penalty for our sin and provides the only way for salvation - repentance and faith in Him alone. What good news! It's available to us all.
To help spread this good news, he spent three years with a small group of men, known as his disciples— followers dedicated to becoming more like Him. Three of whom were his closest friends: Peter, James, and John. In this time, he trained, taught, and equipped all 12 of them to change the world. He tasked this faithful band of brothers with developing his Church, which is not a building; rather the sum of all of his followers. In other words, Christ chose to change the world by focusing on deep inner-transformation of a few close relationships.
the.SALT takes the same approach to making disciples. It begins with a personal, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. Then, the focus is on close one-on-one disciple-making relationships. This spreads into small groups of faithful followers and kingdom organizations. Ultimately, each individual's personality is vital role in the Church, or the body of Christ.
Are you a disciple? Are you following Jesus by obeying all he taught and commanded? Are you leading others to Him and teaching them to obey?
If not, then let the.SALT be a resource for you to learn how to follow Jesus and lead others. If so, then allow the.SALT be a partner with you in your mission and impact your kingdom work.
